Workin’ on the weekend

Yes, I’m working today on a show that I’d never watch. What can I say, this is my job.

Anyway, I want to chat a bit about the debate the other night in Texas between Obama & Clinton. You know, I wouldn’t want to debate Mrs. Clinton either. She excels in this field. She gives detailed answers, can deliver a good inspiring messages but also sound strong, as a President should be.

I know there’s been a lot of hubub about the “plagerism” accusation of Obama and his speeches. And I also thought at first, it was a bit petty. But then, when Hillary made her comment, “It’s not change you can believe in, it’s change you can xerox.”, I agreed. Though it drew boos from the crowd, I think she makes a very valid point. He talks about how much words matter and everyone talks abotu how he can motivate people with his words, but if he is motivating people with other peoples words, then what do you have left? Now this wouldn’t be such a big deal if his camp didn’t make as big a deal of his “words” but they do so it’s only fair & right that those words come under scrutiny when they aren’t his own.

And he made a point in the debate that they should be talking about the issues, not tearing each other down, but instead building each other up. I agree with that. But how can you when you aren’t even talking about the issues, you just deliver inspirational speeches about “change” and have refused many invitations to debate to talk about these issues.

Now let’s get on to accomplishments. How about I just give you the video:

Yeah.

I have to get back to work, but I just wanted to make one more comment as pointed out by Mr. J.H.

If you think Hillary is being tough & unfair now, what do you think the Republicans are going to do to him? You can bet that they are already digging up dirt. And you can also bet that they will make an even bigger point about his lack of experience and accomplishments. While they can bring up a list of things about the Clintons, it’s all things we’ve already known about and have moved on from.

And as far as uniting the country, I highly doubt that the Senator with the most liberal voting record will be able to bring over the conservatives. And as far as voting for the war, he wasn’t there. He couldn’t vote. His mentors voted the same way as Hillary.

Now Obama is a member of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, but as a subcommittee chairman on the panel, he has yet to chair a hearing.

More later. Gotta check on the Jackasses.
