Passing the time

So I’ve been at the Union Square Barnes and Noble since 6:30pm this eve. Its just past 11pm and I probably have another hour to wait.

Now I’m not really one to wait in line for extended periods of time. I waited for a table at Cafe Habanna once for about an hour. But generally, I hate waiting. Particularly, in long lines.

So why am I here now? Well, one of my favorite authors, David Sedaris, just released his new book and is had a reading here. I love him so much that I decided I would have him sign my book and have him tell me to stop smoking or something witty and funny or something like that. Though, I never thought a book signing would be quite like this. I mean, the man is brilliant and hilariius, but this is rediculous! The line snaked through the book stacks on the entire 4th floor of B & N. Good lord.

But I’ve been waiting too long to give up now damnit! David Sedaris will sign my damn book!!!
