There is never a good reason…
…to hit a woman. To hit anyone. Domestic Violence is a problem that should never be justified, for any reason. I don’t care what she did, a man should never hit a woman.
Did Chris Brown hit Rihanna? It seems so, yes. But what ever rumor that is currently being spread as to *why* he hit her is all beside the point. CB hit her hard enough for her to end up with visible marks and scream loud enough for someone to be concerned and call 911. End of story. He should be prosecuted. She should not be blamed. She did not ask for it.
Chris Brown has a history of violence in his family. This trait is passed on. Sometimes it’s hard to break the cycle but being abused does NOT mean you get a free pass to abuse someone else. I don’t care if you’re a celebrity. I think Chris Brown should go to jail. Otherwise, what kind of example does this give to society if he gets off on these charges? And what does it say about our society when we try to make excuses and put the blame on the victim?
Instead of trying to figure out what Rihanna “did” to get him so upset, I dare you to ask Chris Brown if he thinks his mother deserved to be beat down by his step-father. And then ask him if he thinks any woman should ever be treated that way.
