Vote Bill Thompson for NYC Mayor

Vote Bill Thompson for NYC Mayor

Ok folks. My day is much busier than I expected it to be so I have to make this quick, but it doesn’t make it any less important.

While your vote is a personal one and voting is more important than who you vote for, it’s important to look at your candidates. These are the reasons I’m voting for Bill Thompson. If you haven’t already, please do your own research to make up your mind though.

All the lonely people, where do they all belong?

All the lonely people, where do they all belong?

I’ve always said that obsession with music started in high school/college. This was when I started to really dig deep into the lyrics of song, samples, musicians, etc and dissect them because I wanted to know all the parts that made such beautiful music.

But my love of music started much younger and I didn’t even realize it until I was much older. I don’t give much credit to my mother for shaping my musical tastes as much as I should. In fact, she introduced me to one of my favorite bands and had me listening to Latin Jazz before I knew how much I liked it or before it was cool among my friends. And that’s a WRAP!

Oh sweet relief! Today was my last day on the events I’ve been working on for the last couple of months and essentially wrapping up my work for the year. I always love working on events for VH1 & MTV. I was particularly excited this year since we would be shooting/taping the 2 back-to-back shows at BAM so I could walk to work.

It was a bit rough in places on this show. Aside from the usual politricks of Corporate Network BS, there were some struggles within the teams I worked with. Not everyone plays nice with all the kids but in the end, we rocked out 2 amazing shows. Hip Hop Honors got its highest ratings ever. Say what you want about what ended up on screen but you won’t find a harder working bunch of folks in this biz. PS…to all the haters. Just because you didn’t see your favorite artist on there doesn’t mean that the intent or offer wasn’t made. Not everyone could make it to the show. Not our fault.

Summertime in the City

Summertime in the City

I don’t really want to say it but I think I must. I’m already seeing leaves fall to the ground and I don’t need my A/C on blast when I sleep. I’m using the comforter again…waking up cold is not OK.

Yes..Summer in winding down and fall is nearing.
