It’s your right to vote…use it

I was born in the Philippines and moved to the US when I was five years old. Because we moved around so much due to my step-father being in the Navy, my mother had to keep re-petitioning to become a US Citizen. By the time we settled in one place long enough for her to become a Naturalized Citizen, I was already 18 and had to petition on my own.

I was in college now and believed in finding my true roots as a FIlipino-American. Maybe you could say I had anarchist tendencies at this point when I was searching for truth. I was studying different religions, forms of government, the Illuminati and the lies our public school systems taught us. At 18, I had no desire to become an American Citizen because I felt the US had done so much wrong in the past. I didn’t believe in our government. I didn’t believe even if I could vote, that it would count for anything. So why bother? As an activist, I felt I could do just as much good fighting for the causes I believed in and spreading truth where I could.

I’m sure you know (but continue to ignore) what the people want, which is to bring our troops home and to get out of this situation that your President and CIF have gotten us into. And because of this battle for oil and power, covered up as rouse to free a country that doesn’t want us there, the American People are suffering. Our rising oil prices are doing no one any good, except perhaps the oil magnates, for which your President and his family is one.

SNL Returns! Tina Fey is awesome! Proclaims “Bitches get stuff done!”

Finally! After months of this writers strike, SNL returned live last night with the amazing Tina Fey as the host. A quick cameo appearance by Steve Martin was made during the opening monologue as he tried to convince Tina that she was more than a writer, she was a performer.

It was a funny show, but as per usual, Weekend Update is where I get the most laughs. We all knew there were going to be some comments regarding the Presidential race. Mike Huckaby was hilarious as he missed his “cue” to exit. If Mike keeps on getting votes, part of it has to do with the fact that he’s not afraid to laugh at himself. His appearances on Colbert have also been quite funny and made for some interesting antics during the strike between Colbert, Conan and Stewart. on “who made Huckaby.” Too bad he’s a conservative whose politics are antiquated and would move us back about 100 years.
