Old School Jam of the Day aka OSJOTD

It’s no secret that music is a big part of my every day and I’m constantly looking for great new music (even if it’s old). But I’m going to start something on the bloggidy blog to pay homage to some of the great songs of our musical past that have helped shape my musical tastes of today. I’ll mix up the format, sometimes video, sometimes just a clip. And yes, I plan on spanning various genres.

There’s a new Mayer in town

So on a recent trip to Los Angeles, I got a chance to catch up with some friends I hadn’t seen in quite a while. I always feel very lucky that I have friends with great taste in music who expose me to new sounds when I don’t have a chance to stay in the musical loop.

On a last minute outing to Orange Country to see the Funky Prez J.Rocc DJ at a spot in Orange Country, we stopped in to say hello to PB Wolf. I had no idea what I was in for. Just a few minutes after we arrived, the curtains rose to a wonderful little stage and there stood a Doo-Wop looking band. I didn’t even know there was going to be a performance. This should be interesting. Nope. It was effing great!
