Home at last
I’m home! Finally! My flight back from Toronto was delayed 3 hours. Once we boarded the plane, we got stuck on the tarmac for another 45 minutes. Ugh. But I made it back to NY, once again feeling whole.
This trip has been amazing in so many ways. I reconnected with old friends and made some new ones. What ever ventures come from it, I am truly grateful for the experience. I’m feeling inspired. I’ve been restless for quite a while. Trying to balance my work with trying to have a life has been difficult. But I think I’ve found something new in myself.
Notes from the road…

OK. So it’s been a minute, as per usual, since I’ve written. And as usual, it’s because I’ve been crazy busy. Trying to hold down multiple projects and maintaining sanity of life is a difficult balance. So I decided to go on a road trip with my girls from Toronto. Z, T, El & Saf swooped down from Toronto just in time to save me from myself. We held it down in NY for a few days for Zaki’s shows then rolled out to Philly for some random shenanigans.
From Illadelphia, we rolled on up to Toronto. This trip has been amazing. It has/is serving an inspirational purpose for me to get back on track with my shit.
And so the countdown begins…
OK. I’m *almost* wrapped out on Fashion Wars (airing on the CW this summer). The Canadians will be here in a few hours and I get to see 2 of my lovely friends. It’s been too long since I’ve seen them last.
Zaki is performing at Joe’s Pub on May 1st. Check her out NOW.
Seeing the light

Ahh…I see the light at the end of the tunnel. This show is coming to a close. I’m making plans for a vacation/road trip with friends from Canadia. Zaki Ibrahim will be performing in NYC at Joe’s Pub on May 1st and at Black Lily in Philly on May 3rd. Be there! I’ll for sure be there cheering for my old friend who is making her dream a reality.
It’s so great to see the people you love & admire so happy, inspired and ALIVE. It in turn inspires me.
